What is teddy bear body type?

The typical teddy bear body type is characterized by a round, plump body with a small head, stubby legs, and thick arms. The body is often covered in a soft and fluffy fabric, such as plush or mohair, and filled with synthetic or natural stuffing materials, such as polyester fiberfill or kapok. The limbs are usually jointed with buttons or plastic discs, allowing the bear to move its arms and legs, and the head is attached with a neck joint that allows it to turn and nod. Some teddy bears also have a hump on their back, which is a nod to the original bear that inspired the toy – a real-life brown bear named "Teddy" who was shot by President Theodore Roosevelt on a hunting trip in 1902.
